Peonies are a childhood memory for me and are forever a sign of early summer. I loved watching the multitude of ants crawl all over their buds as I waited for them to bloom. My favorites were the white ones with the red at the center of them. Next to the lilac bushes and daisies that were all over my parents property, these were my third favorite flower.
