These long straight weed stems are actually the left over stems from cone flowers. But what caught my eye, was the drops at the tips that had frozen from the recent thaw. They looked as if there were diamonds atop each of the stems. I thought how fitting a replacement for the pretty yellow cone flowers that were no longer adorning the top of the stems.
