Huh Go Figure Canvas Print

I have seen male red wing blackbirds galore this spring. But none with markings so dull. I spent some time watching him despite the heavy rain that was falling at this time. Here he seems to be looking down as if to say, "Huh, go figure . . . " like perhaps he had just dropped something or just notice something that he should have noticed before. Either way, it struck me as hilarious and I had to stifle my chuckle so I wouldn't frighten him away.

The red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is a passerine bird of the family Icteridae found in most of North and much of Central America. It breeds from Alaska and Newfoundland south to Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, and Guatemala, with isolated populations in western El Salvador, northwestern Honduras, and northwestern Costa Rica.
