This is my favorite cemetery of all the ones I visit. One is that I have family here, the other is that it is exactly what you expect when you think of a cemetery. It has everything. Even a grave going back to the Revolutionary War. This means that there are veterans from every war that America fought buried here in this old cemetery. In the older parts the road is only wide enough to accommodate a horse & buggy and made of brick. It has a potter's field as well. It's name is Woodlawn and is reputed to the the oldest cemetery in the state of Minnesota. I highly recommend that if you visit the city of Winona, Minnesota, that you put coming to Woodlawn on your itinerary. It's well worth the time to come and see it.
