The day I set out to take photos this is what it was like. I wasn't sure where I was going to go. I just knew I was going. At the point of taking this photo, (yes, I was driving) I thought, what if I just didn't stop? What if I just kept driving? I knew that if I stayed on this particular highway, I would eventually find myself following the Mississippi all the way down to the Gulf. That thought fascinated me as I have never been to that part of the United States yet. Of course, I didn't think my half tank of gas, cell phone, and camera would get me much farther than just below LaCrosse WI. I didn't have money with me! I didn't know I was planning on running away that day! So I just stayed on course for taking photos and dreamed of running away. Which when it comes down to it, was actually better than really running away!

My Celtic beliefs and heritage have taught me that no matter how large or how small, living or inanimate, everything embodies energy from the universe ... I try to capture that in my photos... I look for the extraordinary in the every day ordinary that surrounds us ...
