This past summer, a torrential downpour, saw the small town of Waumundee, Wisconsin, flooded. This sleepy little town consists of a church, bar/grill/restaurant/hotel, all purpose store, bank, and mill is tucked back in a valley between the tall hills on Hwy 88. As long as I can remember, it has never flooded before. But there's always a first time. I waited about a week and then took a ride over there. This old barn was right in the path of it as you can see by the weeds laying down. Most were okay though and the damage was minimal for them. Those who lived down right by the crick were hit pretty hard. I saw one house that had been completely under water and they were in the process of cleaning it out. I felt terrible for them. They looked so beaten, I didn't have the heart to snap a photo of them.
My Celtic beliefs and heritage have taught me that no matter how large or how small, living or inanimate, everything embodies energy from the universe ... I try to capture that in my photos... I look for the extraordinary in the every day ordinary that surrounds us ... Join me as I wander over back roads, through mist filled swamps and fields, moon filled nights, and sunny days to find my treasures to share with you ... sit quietly ... listen carefully ... and consider these things ... To begin 2017, I am offering 5 prints of my signature piece that I normally do not sell. "A Witches Moon" is now available for a limited time ... please check out my promotional page for more details here: ...
