Artist's Description

Fire Hydrant:

A fire hydrant, also called fireplug, is a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water supply. It is a component of active fire protection.
The user attaches a hose to the fire hydrant, then opens a valve on the hydrant to provide a powerful flow of water, on the order of 350 kPa (50 lbf/in) (this pressure varies accord-ing to region and depends on various factors including the size and location of the at-tached water main). This user can attach this hose to a fire engine, which can use a power-ful pump to boost the water pressure and possibly split it into multiple streams. One may connect the hose with a threaded connection, instantaneous "quick connector" or a Storz connector. The water inside a charged hose line causes it to be very heavy and high water pressure causes it to be stif...

About Wild Thing

Wild Thing

My Celtic beliefs and heritage have taught me that no matter how large or how small, living or inanimate, everything embodies energy from the universe ... I try to capture that in my photos... I look for the extraordinary in the every day ordinary that surrounds us ... Join me as I wander over back roads, through mist filled swamps and fields, moon filled nights, and sunny days to find my treasures to share with you ... sit quietly ... listen carefully ... and consider these things ... To begin 2017, I am offering 5 prints of my signature piece that I normally do not sell. "A Witches Moon" is now available for a limited time ... please check out my promotional page for more details here: ...
